The Review: All actors are superb in this courtroom drama about a murder trial that starts off being clear-cut but becomes less so as time unravels. Despite the unchanging set (apart from a revolving table - something that puzzled me initially!) the action never lets up, new details uncovered to great effect.
Tom Conti is excellent as the jury member whose thinking is against everyone else’s from the outset, just managing to stay on the right side of smug. I was expecting a twist which never came and the defence lawyers missed an awful lot of logic, but overall this is hugely enjoyable.
The Verdict: No angry audience members at the end of this production.
