The Review: The success of this book is enviable, but does it live up to the hype? Kind of.
The premise of a woman losing all her recent memories every time she falls asleep is excellent. It’s up to her husband to fill in the gaps every day, but it soon becomes apparent that he mightn’t be telling the truth.
The repetition in the book can be annoying but is understandable. I occasionally struggled with credibility - she kept a mobile phone hidden from her husband despite losing her memory every night??
However, it’s a gripping thriller with a mother of a twist.
The Verdict: Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride.
