The Review: You might have encountered this German comedian before on TV and radio panel shows. He’s effortlessly likeable and naturally funny, a quality aided by his accent!
Henning’s comparisons of German and English work ethic and humour are priceless, but the performance lacked both structure to give it more of a ‘show’ aspect achieved by bigger comedians and audience interaction to give it a wildly chaotic feel. Falling in between, the show was enjoyable but not earth-shattering. At one point, he pointed out a front row member’s poppy and ranted about it being provocative. I longed for more of this spontaneity.
The Verdict: Gut but not amazingly gut.
