The Review: What a pity this new British musical is closing early. Given the press reviews, it's a surprisingly good night out, full of toe-tapping songs and boasting a stellar performance from Gemma Arterton as the machinist who leads the strike at the Ford factory, striving for equal pay for women.
The set is striking and impressive, constructed Airfix kit style! The music is consistently enjoyable, with several stand-out anthemic songs. There’s even an amusing performance from PM Harold Wilson, which is still funny even if it does go over the heads of those unfamiliar with him. Worth catching before it closes.
The Verdict: Stand up and support new British musicals!
