The Review: Take your inner child to this one. It’s relentlessly silly, the idea being that an amateur theatre group puts on a disastrous version of Peter Pan. The result? Everything goes wrong! And I mean everything. In fact, so much goes wrong, the effect starts to wear off; a case of less is more, perhaps.
The cast work their socks off and, in the end, I couldn’t help but submit to the hilarity, culminating in a riotous scene with an out-of-control revolving stage.
It’s all cleverly done and consistently amusing but can’t compete with Noises Off for theatre going deliberately wrong.
The Verdict: This comedy plays everything wrong and, in doing so, doesn't get it totally right.
